Well, how did it go?

I failed to go to the town hall meeting with Sam Johnson. The One had an appointment that I forgot about, so I didn't go. I'm sure I could have gone; I have The One drop me off with one of the girls while she went onward. I did get a report from the Collin County Democrats which follows:

"Thanks to everyone who attended Congressman Sam Johnson's Social Security Forum tonight at Collin County Community College's Spring Creek Campus in Plano. There was a good crowd, and from the reactions it was obvious that a significant percentage of those in attendance were not in agreement with Sam's ideas. Despite previous indications to the contrary, he did take questions from the audience and several of our activists had great comments and questions. An interesting side note, the woman moderating and controlling the microphone was none other than Dallas PR consultant
Merrie Spaeth, the key organizer behind the "Swift Boat Veterans For Truth" campaign."

I'm glad to see that even in a rabid Republican county like Collin, it's nice to know that sometimes they don't follow the GOP blindly.
